Veterinary researchers have discovered garlic is successful in quelling coronavirus-infection in chick eggs to produce healthier full-growth offspring. Allicin, produced from fresh-crushed garlic cloves, inhibited the effect of coronavirus on chick embryos.
Researchers say this discovery can be applied to human coronavirus infections, particularly because it is inexpensive and available. The lack of a fool-proof vaccine provoked researchers to search for an alternative.
